The official Encuentro hotel this year will be the Hotel Bacatá, located in downtown Bogotá, close to the Mapa Teatro. We’ve negotiated discounted rates for all Encuentro participants who book their reservations at the Bacatá before July 15th, 2009. The rates will be available for the days of the Encuentro (August 21st-30th), allowing also for check-in one day early (Thursday August 20th) and check-out a day after the event ends (Monday August 31st). Breakfast is included.

Discounted Hotel Rates (per night)
When booked before July 15th, 2009:

Single room: 148,500 Colombian Pesos (1-person occupancy only; approx. $74 USD).

Double room (either one bed for a couple or two separate beds): 176,000 Colombian Pesos per room (approx $88 USD), which is 88,000 Colombian pesos per person (approx $44 USD per person).

Triple: 229,350 Colombian Pesos per room (approx $114 USD), which is 76,450 per person (approx. $38 USD per person).

Quad: 277,200 Colombian Pesos per room (approx $139 USD), which is 69,300 per person (approx. $35 USD per person).

If you want to share a room, the hotel prefers that you know who your roommate(s) will be. Please group yourselves before making shared reservations. When making reservations, be sure to mention that you’re a Hemispheric Institute Encuentro participant for access to the discounted rates.
