
Samuel Ibarra is a performer and journalist. He has worked as a playwright, theatre director and actor in independent films. He curated and co-organized the International Performance Biennial DEFORMES. He has curated exhibitions and performance videos such as Maquina Cáceres, El Cuerpo Posible , and UNEATABLE , among others. He is also the creator of Spinoza Festival.
A Transitional Breath
This performance asks us to consider the negative aspects of a liberation impulse. A transitional breath prompts us to think about trauma, wrung out between torn memories and the language of the neoliberal technomarket. Is our present-day a disfiguration of well-being manufactured by state terrorism, now naturalized and transparent?
