A Poem For Stormé
In light of the shooting in Orlando and the continued violence against queer bodies of color both in the US and abroad, and taking into consideration the focus of this year’s Encuentro – “eX-céntrico: dissidence, sovereignties, performance,” this piece serves as a performed historiography and homage to queer Stonewall activist, and drag icon, the late Stormé DeLarverie.
