Janet Toro is a Chilean visual artist and performer. She has a degree in Art at the School of Art at the University of Chile. Her work is a visual, bodily and material reflection of human existence. Her creation surges from the necessity to make life more profound and thereby fuel a milieu of resistance and poetry.
The Body of Memory, Performances 16, 17 and 20

The Body of Memory consists of a series of 90 Performances/ Installations, performed every day for two months. At the Encuentro, Performances 16, 17, and 20 will be performed. All these works were part of the II Biennial of Young Art, at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Santiago, Chile 1999.
Mercury

Video of the performance Azogue. A work on factual powers, and the number one use of their emblematic elements: the newspaper El Mercurio. This work was performed at the Facultad de Teatro of the University of Chile, in the context of the Bienal Deformes 2014.
