This special issue of Women & Performance, on Aging, edited by Debra Levine and Pamela Cobrin, asks, “At what point does a body become aged, and what role does gender play in that designation?” The essays in this volume reclaim the notion of aging as performance. Several of the contributors will be present to offer short responses to Shaw’s work. Shaw is an actor, writer and producer. She is co-founder of the Split Britches Theater Company with Lois Weaver and the WOW Café Theatre in New York City.
