Neda Godoy (Chile) is a performance artist and a Visual Arts alum at Universidad Arcis. Her works reflects on the questions around womanhood in Neoliberal Chile. She interacts with the audience to politicize a relationship between artist and spectator. She is a member of the performance research collective Cuerpos Ambulantes and of El Cubo.
Using elements from the world of orthopedics, objects that function to immobilize the body, Godoy undertakes tasks opposite to those determined by medicine. Her actions alter the physical and morphological possibilities to a point where the transformed and disabled body requires the audience’s participation.
